Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Paris on Monday to rally support against Russia. He will meet with European leaders in Paris.

According to sources, the meeting will discuss Ukraine's air defenses and the future strategy of the war. While in Paris, he will meet with about two dozen European leaders who are supporting Ukraine against Russian aggression. The Russia-Ukraine war has been going on for the past five years.

Meanwhile, European foreign ministers are also meeting in Brussels. The meeting is expected to discuss Ukraine's needs and the threat posed by Russia to Europe. Ukraine and its European supporters have been pressuring Russian President Vladimir Putin to negotiate to end the war. They believe that despite a year-long peace effort by the Trump administration, Moscow has shown no interest in any understanding.

According to analysts and Western officials, Ukraine's advances in drone technology in recent months have given it an advantage on the war front. The Ukrainian military has particularly targeted supplies heading to Crimea. This has caused a major fuel crisis in the Black Sea region. Russia illegally annexed Crimea in 2014.

Zelensky has proposed working with European countries to develop an air defense system to protect against ballistic missiles. The system would help deter a devastating Russian attack on Ukraine's power infrastructure.

US President Donald Trump's announcement last week that Ukraine would be allowed to build a new air defense system was hailed as a major victory for Kiev. But experts and Ukrainian officials say the plan could take years to produce the weapons.

More than 30 countries supporting Ukraine are attending the Paris summit, which will bring together heads of state and government from about 25 countries. The large number of leaders is seen as a long-term support for Ukraine and a warning to Russia.

Zelensky's arrival in Paris comes as Ukraine is undergoing a major reshuffle. Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svirdenko resigned on Sunday.
