Iran has attacked US military bases in Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claims that the strikes were in response to US attacks on Iranian ports and islands in the Strait of Hormuz.

These include the US Fifth Fleet, the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, and the Azraq Air Base in Jordan. The IRGC said that a drone was fired at Al Salem and a long-range missile was fired at Azraq.

The IRGC claims that 21 US military sites were targeted and  four of them were destroyed. The IRGC claims that a maintenance and storage station for F-35 fighter jets based in Jordan was destroyed.

Similarly, the IRGC claims that a US MQ-9 drone was shot down over the Iranian city of Jam.

On Tuesday morning, the US military attacked the Qeshm Islands and Iranian coastal ports in the Strait of Hormuz. The US launched the attack, accusing Iran of shooting down its  Apache helicopters.

The attack damaged a telecommunications tower in the city of Sirik, Iranian media reported. Similarly, two water tanks there were also destroyed.

The US did not immediately comment on the latest developments. Earlier on Tuesday, US President Donald Trump, in a post on the social media platform Truth Social, said that peace talks with Iran would be concluded within a day or two.
