Iran has damaged at least 20 US military bases since the war began, the BBC has said. The BBC has drawn this conclusion after analyzing satellite images and videos. Experts say the number of damaged infrastructure could be as high as 28. Iran has been attacking US infrastructure in eight countries in West Asia since the end of February. The BBC has reported that Iran's attacks on sophisticated air defense systems, refueling aircraft and radars have caused millions of dollars in damage. Vice-Admiral Mark Mallett, the former head of the UK's Irish Defense Forces, said that such damage would be difficult to repair.

The US has carried out more than 13,000 air strikes on Iran during this period. Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has said that Iran's attack was successful. He has claimed that the West Asia region is no longer a 'safe place' for US bases.

Although the US government has claimed that Iran's military capabilities are almost exhausted, analysts are not ready to accept this. They said Iran's counterattacks were "very precise and widespread". The BBC also reported that the US had tried to limit satellite analysis of the conflict by asking satellite provider Planet to impose an "indefinite" ban on new images of Iran and West Asia. Planet defended the move to the BBC, saying, "We did this to ensure that the images were not used to target allies or NATO partners."

BBC Verify said it had used satellite images from other international providers to track the damage caused by Iran's attacks.

Iran has attacked US military facilities in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Bahrain and Oman. Experts say the Iranian attacks have caused significant damage.
