Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan's sister Alima Khan has filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court. According to news agency PTI, Alima has challenged Imran's 'prolonged solitary confinement' in Adiala Jail. She has termed it illegal and a violation of human rights. According to Pakistan's Dawn newspaper, Alima Khan filed the petition in the High Court on Thursday. She recalled that the court had not sentenced 74-year-old Imran Khan to solitary confinement. She said that the court had directed him to be kept in solitary confinement in the Al-Qadir Trust and Toshakhana cases.

Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has been in jail since August 5, 2023. He was arrested from his residence in Lahore after being convicted in the Toshakhana corruption case. Since then, he has been serving his sentence in Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.
