Six people were killed and seven others wounded in an Israeli attack on southern Lebanon despite a ceasefire agreement, state media reported.
Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA) said six people were killed when Israeli forces attacked a house in the town of Kfar Donin, 95 kilometers from the capital Beirut, on Monday night.
The injured were taken to a hospital in the coastal city of Tyre for treatment, the NNA said. Israel has continued its attacks in southern Lebanon despite a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon on April 17.
Health officials say more than 2,800 people have been killed since Lebanon was drawn into the Middle East war on March 2.
Lebanese leaders, through the United States, are pressuring Israel to halt its attacks during the ceasefire. But Israel has not stopped its attacks.
One of its soldiers was killed in fighting near the Lebanese border. It said 18 soldiers and one civilian had been killed since the start of the war.
Meanwhile, the NNA reported Israeli attacks on other southern Lebanese towns nearby on Tuesday, while the Israeli army ordered the evacuation of the town of Sohmor in eastern Lebanon's Bekaa Valley.
