The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is on the verge of a majority in the Indian state of West Bengal. Out of 294 constituencies, elections were held on 23 and 29 April in 293 constituencies.

As the counting of votes is underway, the BJP has won 138 constituencies. Similarly, it is leading in 69 constituencies. Looking at the current results, it seems that the BJP will win more than 200 seats. In 2021, the BJP had won 77 seats.

The Trinamool Congress (TMC), which had won 215 seats at that time, has suffered a major setback in this election. According to the counting of votes so far, the TMC has won 48 seats. It is leading in 26 seats.

The Congress has won 2 seats and the Left Front has won 1 seat.
