The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) chief economist Maximo Torero has warned that the world is heading towards a major food crisis. He said the closure of the Strait of Hormuz has completely disrupted the supply of fertilizers. He said that since the war began, the supply of fertilizers has been completely blocked, which has led to an increase in prices and a decrease in availability. The FAO says that this will seriously affect farming and reduce grain production by up to 30 percent. Torero told Al Jazeera that the time for planting in Asia has come and that the closure of fertilizer supplies at this time will have a major impact. He warned that the impact on the market will be even greater because large countries such as the United States and Brazil have the option of replacing their crops with soybeans, such as wheat and corn.

Despite repeated attempts at talks, there is still no clear sign of stopping the war. Iranian official Mohammad Jafar Asadi has warned that another war with the US could break out and that the Iranian military is ready for it.

The US claims that 48 ships have diverted their routes from Iranian ports in the last 20 days.

Iran is preparing to introduce a new law regarding the Strait of Hormuz. Hamidreza Haji-Babai, the deputy speaker of the Iranian parliament, has said that under this law, Israeli ships will not be allowed to pass through this sea route. He said that in the proposed law, their ships will be allowed to enter only if the enemy country compensates for the damage caused in the war. In addition, ships from other countries will also have to obtain permission from Iran.

Meanwhile, according to Iranian media, Iran has sent a response to the US proposal for talks with its demands. Iran has sent its demands under the mediation of Pakistan. In these points, all problems have been demanded to be resolved within 30 days.
