The international human rights organization Amnesty International has said that the rest of the world has failed to stop them despite the leaders of the US, Israel and Russia continuing to violate human rights. Amnesty International Secretary-General Dr. Agnes Callamard, releasing its annual report 2025/026, said that US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are the ‘big perpetrators’. Amnesty accuses them of violating human rights for economic and political dominance. Amnesty also accuses the perpetrator leaders of trying to create a new world order that suits them.

‘These leaders have rejected the multilateral system that developed after the Second World War. And are trying to bring about an order: where war, not diplomacy, wins,’

Amnesty’s report says

.  Secretary-General Callamard said that the world had made a U-turn in 2025 from the international rules and procedures created after the World War. Many countries, instead of punishing the perpetrators, have shown goodwill towards them. “Some countries are even thinking of following oppressive and predatory rulers,” she said.

The 400-page report states that authoritarian practices have increased worldwide from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe. This report studied the human rights situation in 144 countries around the world.

Amnesty has concluded that Israel and the US attacked Iran in violation of the UN Charter. In the process, the report states that more than 100 girls were killed in an illegal US attack on a girls’ school in Mina, Iran on February 28, 2026.

Concerns have been expressed that the lives and health of millions of civilians are at risk due to this conflict. Similarly, it is stated that a large number of civilians, including women and children, have been tortured in Lebanon due to the Israeli attack.

The report states that despite the ceasefire agreement in October 2025, Israel continues to commit genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. Similarly, it is also mentioned that Israel is illegally expanding settlements in the West Bank under its control.

The report states that Israeli authorities have encouraged civilians in those settlements to attack Palestinians.  The report states that the US has carried out more than 150 extrajudicial killings by attacking boats in the Caribbean and Pacific regions. Similarly, the report states that the attack on Venezuela in 2026 is also against international law.

The report states that Russia is continuously carrying out airstrikes on public and private infrastructure in Ukraine.

' Russia continues its aggressive war against Ukraine. Freedom of expression and the right to peaceful assembly are being curtailed within the country. Religious freedom is being curtailed. The law has been used as a weapon to suppress opponents. Detention on false charges, lack of fair trials, torture, etc. are being carried out. The detainees are being held in inhumane conditions, the report said.

Similarly, the Myanmar army, using motorized paragliders to bomb villages last year, killed a large number of civilians, the report said.

The UAE has provided Chinese weapons to the Sudanese rebel group Rapid Support Force (RSF).

The group has committed genocide and sexual violence during its capture of the town of El Fasr last October. The report said that the M23 militia in the Republic of Congo, with the support of Rwanda, captured the towns of Goma and Bukavu and then carried out extrajudicial killings of civilians.

Amnesty said that the Taliban in Afghanistan is violating the rights of women. “There have been further restrictions on their education, employment and freedom of movement,” the report said.

The report said that the government has cracked down heavily on protests in Iran in January 2026. ‘Government authorities killed a large number of protesters in January 2026. This was the deadliest crackdown in decades.’

Deadly crackdown on the Genji movement in Nepal

The report states that law enforcement authorities in Nepal have killed protesters and misused the law to silence opponents. 76 people were killed during the protests and destruction on 23 and 24 Bhadra.
