Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for the Strait of Hormuz to be opened. This is the first time he has publicly called for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. He made the remarks in a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Monday, China's state news agency Xinhua reported. He said China would support an "immediate complete ceasefire" and any efforts to restore peace in West Asia. In the phone call, Prince Salman said Saudi Arabia was committed to resolving the conflict.
