Kathmandu: A 10-day ceasefire has begun between Lebanon and Israel. The ceasefire began at 2:45 am on Friday, Nepali time.

Hezbollah and Israel attacked each other in the border area a few hours before the ceasefire began. US President Donald Trump has said that Hezbollah is expected to comply well with the ceasefire. The US-brokered ceasefire was announced by Trump himself. It has been welcomed by Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu.

Trump said that Hezbollah is also included in the ceasefire agreement. This means that Israel will not be allowed to attack Hezbollah. Netanyahu said that Israeli forces will remain 10 kilometers from the security zone in southern Lebanon during the ceasefire period.
