At least 16 people were injured in a shooting at a technical school in Turkey by a former student. The teenager opened fire on others before turning the gun on himself, local governor Hasan Sildak said.
The injured included 10 students, four teachers, a canteen worker and a police officer. Five of the injured are in critical condition. The motive for the attack is not yet known. Authorities said an investigation is underway.
A witness said in local video, “The gunman looked to be around 17 or 18 years old. As soon as he entered the front door of the school, he raised his gun. Then he started shooting left and right. He shot everyone in front of him. Everyone was crying.”
