At least 61 people have been killed in various incidents of rain in Afghanistan. Similarly, 116 people have been injured .
Four people have gone missing due to rain-related incidents, Afghan government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid announced on Saturday.
Most of the people who died in the incident were from the southern and western provinces of Afghanistan, spokesman Mujahid said on social media.
The natural disaster that followed the recent heavy rains has completely and partially damaged 2,448 houses. He confirmed that agricultural land, including farmland, has been washed away in various provinces of Afghanistan.
The Afghan Meteorological Department has forecast more rain in the coming days. A high risk of flooding has also been warned in some areas.
