US President Donald Trump has said that the US military attack on Iran could end in two to three weeks. He said that there is no meaning in talks.

‘Washington and Tehran may reach an agreement,’ Trump said, ‘but it doesn’t matter whether they come to talks or not. The US has achieved its goal. Iran’s ability to acquire nuclear weapons has been reduced. Now  it is finishing its job.’

He added, ‘We pushed them back 15-20 years. They no longer have a navy, an army, or an air force.’

Iranian President Masoud Peshmerga said that Iran would negotiate if certain conditions were met. After the US and Israel attacked Iran on February 28, Trump has repeatedly set a deadline for war. Earlier, he had claimed that the war would end within four weeks. But the war is still ongoing on the 33rd day.

President Trump is scheduled to address the nation at 9:00 pm US time on Wednesday (6:45 am Nepali time on Thursday).

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio also said that the war is nearing an end. He said that talks with Iran remain a possibility.

“A direct meeting can happen at any time. We are always open to that,” he told Fox News, “but President Trump will not allow fake talks to be used as a delaying strategy.”

Iranian President Pjeshkian said that his country needs guarantees that it will not be attacked in the future to end the conflict. He made this view in a conversation with European Council President Antonio Costa, according to Iranian state media.

Costa wrote on the social network X, “I urged Iran to stop its unacceptable attacks on countries in West Asia and to engage positively in diplomatic channels. In particular, I urged it to ensure freedom of movement in the Strait of Hormuz.
