Spain has decided not to allow US military aircraft used in the Iran attack to enter its airspace. The news, which was broken by the El Pais newspaper, was confirmed by the Spanish Defense Ministry on Monday. Spain has been opposed to war since the US-Israeli attack on Iran. Earlier, Madrid had decided not to allow the US to use joint military bases in the Iran war. ‘We will not allow our airspace to be used to wage war on Iran. Nor will our military bases,’ said Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles. ‘I think everyone knows Spain’s position. It is clear. This war is illegal and unjust.’

After this decision, US military aircraft based in the UK and other regions of Europe will not be able to use Spanish routes to attack West Asia.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has already called on the US-Israeli and Iran to end the war. US President Donald Trump had criticized Spain for not providing enough support in the war. "One illegal act cannot be responded to with another legal act. Because that is where the great destruction of humanity begins," Pedro said.

Earlier, Trump had threatened to cut off all trade relations after Spain decided not to allow the use of a joint US-Spain military base.
