Thousands of people have taken part in demonstrations in the US against the Iran war and price hikes. The protest rally, organized by the social movement 'No Kings', was held in 3,000 locations.

The participants strongly opposed US President Donald Trump's anti-immigration policies. People protested in big cities including Los Angeles, New York, and Washington DC, as well as in small villages.

Tens of thousands take to the streets in Minneapolis

Tens of thousands of protesters took to the streets in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to protest Trump's strict immigration policies. A few months ago, there was a demonstration here against federal immigration agents.

In January, two American citizens, Renee Goode and Alex Pretty, were shot and killed by agents during a controversial raid.  The incident sparked widespread anger against Trump's immigration policies.

This is the third major demonstration under the ‘No Kings’ movement, which began last year as a grassroots movement, which has been expressing disagreement with Trump’s leadership style and right-wing agenda.

The participants in the demonstration chanted slogans such as ‘No King, No Ice, No War!’, which also highlighted their dissatisfaction with the immigration enforcement agency ‘ICE’ (ICE).

The cultural aspect of the event was also impressive. Famous musician Bruce Springsteen performed at an event organized in the neighboring city of St. Paul and paid tribute to the deceased Good and Pretty with the song ‘Streets of Minneapolis’.

Pamela Sinnes, 73, who participated in the rally, said that she came to stand for equal rights for all people.

Political leaders have also joined the protest. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz thanked the protesters and criticized Trump.

Similarly, left-wing leader Bernie Sanders, addressing the protesters, accused Trump of undermining the Constitution and the rule of law.
