US President Donald Trump has said that there will be no more attacks on Iranian energy facilities for 10 more days. Earlier on Monday, he had given a five-day deadline, which ends today, Friday. Before the deadline he himself gave expired, he mentioned on the social media platform Truth that he had extended the deadline at Iran's request. 'At the request of the Iranian government, we have suspended attacks on their energy plants for a few days,' Trump wrote, 'This facility will be in effect until 10 pm on April 11.' He also claimed that talks with Iran are ongoing. Trump wrote, 'Contrary to the claims of the Fake News Media, our talks are going very well.'
However, Iran has denied this and claimed that the talks will be on its own terms.
Earlier on Thursday night, during a cabinet meeting at the White House, Trump mentioned a 'gift' he received from Iran.
‘We are having good dialogue with the right people in Iran,’ he said, ‘they have given us a gift.’
