”Our stance has been clear from day one. None of us will reconcile with none of you, not now, not ever,” Zolfagari said.

Brigadier General Ibrahim Zolfaghari, a spokesman for the Iranian Army (Khatam al-Anbiya) headquarters, said the US had been strategically defeated in the war. ‘The strategic power you promoted has turned into a strategic defeat,’ Zolfaghari said, ‘If a self-proclaimed world superpower could escape its difficulties, it would have happened by now. Don’t call your defeat a compromise. The era of your empty promises is over.’
He claimed that there are two sides in the world today, right and wrong. ‘Is your internal conflict now at a point where you have to compromise with yourself?’ he asked.
He claimed that the investment plans put forward by the US in the past in West Asia, the previous energy and oil price structure, would not return to the old state. ‘This situation will not happen until foreign powers accept that only Iran’s military power can bring regional stability. Stability comes through force,’ he said.
He added, “Nothing will ever go back to the way it was before unless we allow it. This will only happen when you completely remove the idea of taking any action against the Iranian people from your mind.”
He said Iran has been clear about its plans. “Our position has been clear from day one. We will not make peace with you, not now, not ever,” he said.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump had said that fruitful dialogue was underway with Iran. He had claimed that the war was nearing its end. The US has also sent a 15-point proposal to Iran through Pakistan to end the war.
