Four ambulances belonging to the Jewish volunteer organization Hatzolah in Golders Green, London, were set on fire in the middle of the night. British police said the arson was being investigated as an “anti-Semitic hate crime.” No one was injured in the incident. Four ambulances parked on Highfield Road in Golders Green were set on fire at around 1:40 a.m. on Monday. The London Fire Brigade said the ambulances were being put out by a gas cylinder that exploded, shattering the glass. Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to the scene. The Metropolitan Police evacuated nearby homes and evacuated around 30 people to safer places. CCTV footage released by police shows three suspects walking towards the ambulances and then setting them on fire. No arrests have been made so far. UK Health Minister Wes Streeting called the incident a hateful attack on social media. 'Thankfully no one seems to have been hurt, we must all stand together against anti-Semitic hatred,' Streeting said.

According to the 2021 census, there are about 300,000 Jews living in England and Wales.

In October last year, two Jewish people were stabbed in a car in Manchester.

After the incident, Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that hatred against Jews was once again on the rise and that British society must stand up against it.
