Crude oil prices fell after US President Donald Trump claimed that he had very good talks with Iran to find a complete solution to the ongoing conflict in West Asia. Brent crude, which had previously risen to a high of $111 a barrel on Sunday, fell to a low of $95 a barrel on Monday after Trump's announcement. Stock prices in the US and Europe rose.

'I am very pleased to report that the US and Iran have had very good and productive talks over the last two days to find a complete solution to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East,' Trump wrote on the social media platform Truth on Monday. He has instructed the US military not to attack Iran's energy infrastructure for the next 5 days.

Iran's semi-official Mehr News Agency, citing foreign ministry officials, said there was no direct or indirect communication with the US.

On Saturday, Donald Trump warned Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours. He warned that Iran's energy infrastructure would be attacked if the blockade continued. After the deadline passed, Trump claimed that productive talks with Iran had taken place through the social media platform Truth.

The European Union's foreign affairs chief, Kaja Kallas, welcomed Trump's announcement that Iran would not attack Iran's energy infrastructure.

Iran fired two ballistic missiles at the Saudi capital Riyadh, the Saudi Defense Ministry said.

An Indian national was slightly injured when a missile intercepted by an air defense system fell damaged in the Al Sawamekh region of the UAE.

Seven people were killed in a helicopter crash in Qatari waters on Sunday. The helicopter crashed due to a technical fault, the Defense Ministry said.

Four of the dead are Qatari soldiers. Similarly, three are Turkish citizens.

Iran has also carried out counterattacks in central Israel and Jerusalem. Earlier, the number of people injured in the attacks in the cities of Arad and Dimona on Saturday has reached 180.

The Lebanese Health Ministry has reported that 129 people have been injured in Israeli attacks in Lebanon since March 2. At least 60 people have lost their lives in Iraq so far.
