Israel has said that three senior leaders, including Abu Khalil Barzi, commander of Hezbollah's Radwan Force, have been killed. The Israeli military said that they were killed during an attack in the Majdal Salem area of Lebanon.
Lebanon's Health Ministry has said that more than 1,000 people have been killed in the Israeli attack so far. The ministry said that more than 100 children were among them. Hezbollah has been supporting Iran in the US-Israeli-Iran war. Similarly, Israel has been continuously attacking Hezbollah's base areas.
Iran has fired more than 400 ballistic missiles at Israel since the start of the war, and 92 percent of them have been intercepted, Israeli military spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani said. 'Our interception rate is about 92 percent.' This is a great success,’ he said.
Iran launched missile attacks on the southern Israeli cities of Arad and Dimona on Saturday. These cities are close to Israel’s nuclear facility.
The British media outlet The Guardian reported that nearly 200 people were injured by Iranian missiles.
Israeli defense systems failed to intercept the projectiles. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called it a ‘very difficult evening’ after speaking with the mayor of Arad.
‘Tonight is a very difficult night in this campaign for our future,’ he wrote on social media. ‘I have instructed my director general to coordinate with all government ministries and provide all necessary assistance.’
Netanyahu also said that Israel would continue to fight its enemies on all fronts.
