All schools in Israel have been closed after Iran launched a missile attack on the southern city of Arad, causing extensive damage. Israel’s education minister said he had consulted with the Home Front Command’s major general after the Iranian attacks on Dimona and Arad.

“All exemptions will be canceled on Sunday and Monday and no physical classes will be allowed,” he said. All exemptions for special education will also be canceled during this period, and online classes will be held nationwide.

The decision will be reviewed only after an assessment of the situation after Tuesday. Israel’s emergency services said the Iranian attack caused extensive damage.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the night of the attack as a “very difficult night.”
