Iran has said that it will allow oil tankers traded in Chinese yuan to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. CNN has published the news, citing an Iranian official on condition of anonymity.

Tehran, which is fighting a war with Israel and the United States, wants to maintain its control over the Strait of Hormuz. Since the war began, it has been creating obstacles in this waterway. As a result, the world's fuel market has been badly affected.

Oil trade is mostly done in US dollars. However, Russian crude is also traded in rubles and yuan.

China has recently been taking diplomatic initiatives to end the Iran-Iran war. It had previously condemned the US attack on Iran. Similarly, it is emphasizing resolving the problem through dialogue.
