International media outlets have reported that there is a difference of opinion about the view of the United States under the interim leadership in Iran with the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump had claimed that Iranian leaders wanted to talk to him.

Moderate leaders in Iran are in favor of stopping the war through dialogue, while hardliners are in favor of avenging the assassination of Supreme Leader Khomeini.

Earlier, Iranian President Masoud Peshmerga had said on Saturday that he would not attack his neighbors except in self-defense.

He said that the three-member interim leadership council formed to run the government had given such an order to the Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC).

Similarly, he had apologized for the past attack. However, the IRGC has not stopped the attack.

The spokesman for Khatam al-Anbiya, the commanding body of Iran's National Army and IRGC, said that they will continue to attack all areas where US and Israeli military bases are located.

US military bases are located in countries including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Qatar. The IRGC said that attacks were carried out on Dubai Airport and Bahrain's Juffair military base within hours.

Chief Justice Gholam Hossein Mosseni Ezei, a member of the three-member council, said that attacks on countries that allow the enemy to use their territory secretly or publicly will continue.

The different expressions of the president and the chief justice have exposed the differences in opinion within Iran's leadership.

The council was formed to run the interim government after the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iran has said that a new leader will be elected soon.
