Iran has warned European countries not to participate in the war.

The warning came after European countries said they would take defensive action to prevent a possible Iranian attack.

Iran has said that in such a situation, it would target European cities and countries.

'This will be an act of war. Any such action against Iran will be considered cooperation with the aggressors. It will be considered a war against Iran,' Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai said at a press conference on Wednesday. 'Defensive is synonymous with attack. It makes no sense. If they want to deprive Iran of its ability and capacity to fight the aggressors, there will be a counterattack.'

He said that Western countries have already inflicted great damage on Iran by imposing economic sanctions. 'It would be a shame if these countries sided with the aggressors. They have already done enough against Iran,' Baghai said.

European countries are looking to strengthen their defense systems amid fears that the Iran war could spread beyond West Asia.

On Monday, Iranian  The drones targeted the Akrotiri base of the British IR Force in EU member state Cyprus. British officials suspect that the drones may have been launched from Lebanon by Hezbollah.

Following the attack, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that the US would be allowed to use a British military base in Cyprus for defensive purposes.

British media reported that Starmer was also considering deploying warships to prevent a possible future attack. Meanwhile, Greece, Germany and France have all pledged to help Cyprus strengthen its defenses.

France has deployed Rafale aircraft to protect its military base in the UAE.

NATO chief Mark Rutte said on Tuesday that the alliance was not involved in a war. But he said that it would take all necessary steps to defend NATO territory.
