US President Donald Trump has criticized British Prime Minister Keir Starmer for his inaction in the Iran attack.
Speaking to the British media outlet The Sun, Trump said, "There has been no cooperation. I didn't think it would happen like this. I didn't think it would happen from the UK." In a telephone interview with The Sun, Trump said, "It's very sad, that's not how our relationship is."
On Monday, Prime Minister Starmer told the House of Commons that he did not believe in a change of power from the sky. According to the BBC, initially the UK did not allow the US to use a British base to attack Iran.
The UK opened the base only later, saying it was for defensive purposes. Trump praised France. "France has done very well. Britain has been different from the others."
