Former British Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been arrested on charges of abuse of public office. Andrew Mountbatten is the brother of King Charles of Britain and a former prince.
The arrests were made by Thames Valley Police as they investigate allegations that the former prince shared confidential information with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew has denied any wrongdoing. He was stripped of his royal title last year. He was also forced to leave the Royal Lodge, Palace of Windsor, when the title ended. It is not clear where he was arrested, but police were seen driving a number of vehicles in Sandringham, Norfolk, this morning. He had been living in Sandringham since leaving his home in Windsor. It is the first time the former prince has been arrested. He is accused of having an affair with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The BBC reports that he has been arrested on charges of abuse of public office.
