A plane that took off from Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, landed at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, Pakistan, on Thursday.
According to news agency PTI and Pakistani newspaper Dawn, direct air service between the two countries has started after 14 years.
According to Pakistan airport officials, the plane belongs to Bangladesh Airlines. Flight BG-341 reached Karachi from Dhaka on Thursday evening.
The airport administration said, ‘This is the first flight from Dhaka. Which has landed at Jinnah International Airport after 14 years.’
Bangladesh has improved its relations with Pakistan after the fall of Hasina Sheikh last year.
