A three-day meeting of the Cambodia-Thailand Regional Border Committee (RBC) secretariat ended on Thursday after the two sides failed to reach any agreement, Cambodian defense spokesman Mali Socheta said.

The meeting, held at the Poipet International Border between Cambodia's Banteay Meanchey province and Thailand's Sa Kao province, was observed by the ASEAN Observer Team between Cambodia's Fifth Military Region and Thailand's First Military Region.

"The two sides have not yet reached a common ground, however, both sides have agreed to return to their respective headquarters to continue exchanging documents and negotiating until an agreement is reached," Cambodian Defense Ministry spokesman Socheta said in a statement.

Only after the agreement is reached will the Cambodia-Thailand RBC meeting and the formal signing ceremony between Cambodia's Fifth Military Region and Thailand's First Military Region be held, he said.
