US President Donald Trump has said he will increase tariffs on countries that oppose his ambition to annex Greenland.

 In a meeting at the White House, Trump said, "If other countries do not cooperate on the Greenland issue, tariffs will be increased against them." However, Trump did not specify which countries he would increase the new tariffs against. 

Greenland, although it has its own government, is a territory of Denmark. Denmark and Greenland, as well as other countries, are protesting Trump's plan.
