China's 'Long March-12B' rocket successfully completed its test on Friday afternoon.
The rocket developer said the test was seen as an important step towards future flight missions. The test, conducted at the Dongfeng Commercial Space Innovation Pilot Area in northwest China, proved the rocket system's performance and stability. Developed by the commercial rocket manufacturing company under the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, the Long March 12B is a new-generation reusable rocket. The rocket is specifically designed to launch a constellation of commercial satellites into low Earth orbit. The rocket has the capacity to carry a payload of up to 20 tons into low Earth orbit.
According to the company, the firing test has fully confirmed the feasibility and reliability of the rocket's design
