At least 104 civilians have been killed in a drone attack in Sudan's Kordofan region.

The three-year war between military factions has reached a terrifying climax in recent days. Attacks have increased in the capital since early December. Tens of thousands of people have been displaced by the fighting. Hospitals already overwhelmed by cholera and dengue have been overwhelmed with war-wounded people since last Friday. The deadliest attack took place on a kindergarten and hospital in Kalogi, where 89 people died, including 43 children and eight women. UN human rights chief Volker Turk has warned warring parties not to attack health facilities. He has warned them not to do anything that would violate international humanitarian law. On December 13, six Bangladeshi peacekeepers were killed in a drone attack on a UN peacekeeping base in Kadugli.
