India's National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a case in court against those involved in the attack that killed 26 tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir, last April.

The 1,597-page charge sheet filed in a special court in Jammu on Monday accuses two Pakistani military groups and six individuals of planning the attack. The NIA has alleged that the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and The Resistance Front (TRF), which operate from Pakistan, planned the attack. The United Nations has listed Lashkar-e-Taiba as a terrorist organization. Pakistan has not commented on the incident. The TRF claimed responsibility for the attack in April, but later denied any involvement. Three of the six accused were killed by Indian security forces in a shootout within days of the attack. Two others are in police custody in India. Police said the two men had confessed to being Pakistani during interrogation. India claims that another accused, Sajid Jatt, is being protected by the Pakistani government.
