A drone attack in the Sudanese town of Kaloki targeted a kindergarten, where young schoolchildren were present.

International media reported that at least 50 people were killed in the attack. According to the BBC, 33 of the dead were children.

The Sudanese Doctors Network and the army have blamed the paramilitary group Rapid Support Forces (RSF) for the attack on Sunday.

The RSF has not commented on the matter. The Islamist militant group accused the Sudanese army of carrying out drone attacks in the Darfur region on Friday, targeting a market and a fuel depot at the Adre border crossing with Chad.

Sudan has been in a civil war since April 2023. The RSF and the army are locked in a power struggle. Both were once allies but are now trying to destroy each other.
