Pakistani authorities have allowed former Prime Minister Imran Khan's sister, Uzma Khan, to meet him.
Imran was allowed to meet his relatives days after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activists staged a protest outside the Islamabad High Court and Adiala Jail. The family had complained that they had not been allowed to meet Imran for almost a month. On Tuesday, Imran's three sisters, Aleema Khanum, Naureen Niazi and Uzma Khan, reached Adiala Jail to meet him.
But the authorities allowed Imran to meet only one person.
Uzma said that Imran was kept in bad conditions in the jail. 'He was very angry and said that he was being mentally pressured. He is kept locked in his room all day and is only allowed to come out for a short time. He is not allowed to talk to anyone. Asim Munir is responsible for all this.'
Uzma said that they had only talked to Imran for 20 minutes and that his health was good.
