US President Donald Trump has said lax immigration policies are the biggest challenge to national security, following the shooting of two National Guardsmen near the White House.

‘No country can afford to risk its existence like this,’ he said. International media have analyzed Trump’s announcement as a sign that the government will increase surveillance on immigrants in the United States.

Trump has also accused former President Joe Biden of allowing people from other countries to enter the United States easily. He has insulted Afghanistan as hell on earth. He has also insulted the Somali community in Minnesota, who had nothing to do with the National Guard attack. He mocked Somalia as a country without laws, water, and soldiers. Shortly after Trump’s announcement, the US government has decided to suspend all immigration applications in Afghanistan.

The accused had entered the United States to escape the Taliban.

Afghan national Rahmanullah Luckanwal is currently in custody on suspicion of shooting two National Guardsmen stationed near the White House. Rahmanullah Luckanwal, 29, entered the United States from Afghanistan in September 2021 under the ‘Operation Allies Welcome’ plan.
