US President Donald Trump has accepted an invitation from Chinese President Xi Jinping. The two presidents had a phone conversation on Monday morning.

During the talks, Xi invited him to visit Beijing . President Trump said he would visit Beijing in April. Similarly, Trump said Xi would visit the United States in 2026  . 

‘President Xi has invited me to Beijing in April and I have accepted.  I have also invited him to come on a state visit that year as a guest,’ Trump wrote on his social media account Truth, ‘We have come to the conclusion that it is important for us to continue to communicate . We will continue to talk to him .’

Trump said he spoke with Xi on Monday morning on a variety of topics. He said the Russia-Ukraine war, fentanyl, soyabean and other agricultural products were discussed .  Xi and Trump met in South Korea at the end of October . Since then, relations between the heads of state of the two countries  have been improving  .
