Afghanistan has completely stopped importing wheat from Pakistan. Ten years ago, Afghanistan purchased more than $300 million worth of flour from Pakistan.
After that, Afghanistan gradually reduced its wheat imports from Pakistan. Now, it has stopped them completely.

For several decades, Afghanistan has been doing the most trade through Pakistan, which is about half of its total trade.
According to data from international and Asian market monitoring agencies, Pakistan exported $320 million worth of flour to Afghanistan in 2015. But now its rate has reached zero.
Afghanistan purchased about $689 million worth of wheat and flour from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Russia in 2024.
