A plane flying from Azerbaijan to the country crashed near the Georgia-Azerbaijan border, Turkish Defense Minister Yasir Guler wrote in X.

All 20 soldiers on board a Turkish military C-130 Hercules cargo plane that crashed near the Azerbaijan-Georgia border have died, the Turkish Defense Ministry has said. The plane crashed while en route from Azerbaijan to Turkey. 

‘Our heroic commanders were martyred on November 11, 2025.’ When the plane flying from Azerbaijan to the country crashed on the Georgia-Azerbaijan border, Turkish Defense Minister Yasir Guler wrote on Twitter. He also uploaded photos of those who died in the crash with this message. 

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev sent a message to Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, expressing his sorrow over the incident. US Ambassador to Turkey Tom Barak also expressed his condolences on Twitter. The C-130 is a cargo plane made in the United States. It is used by militaries from different countries around the world to transport supplies.
