Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the perpetrators of the Delhi attack will not escape. Modi, who is on a two-day state visit to Thimphu, Bhutan, said that all those responsible for the incident will be brought to justice.

He said that he was in touch with all the agencies investigating the incident throughout the night. "Those agencies will find out the root of this conspiracy. The conspirators are not safe. All will be brought to justice," he said.
On Tuesday, Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that strict action will be taken against those involved in the blast. Speaking at the 'Delhi Raksha Samvad' program organized by the Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defense Studies and Analysis (MP-IDSA), Minister Singh said, "Strict action will be taken against those involved in this incident."
After this incident, a high alert has been issued in cities including Delhi. Security has been tightened at the airport, railway station and bus terminal. The Red Fort metro station has also been closed. Security personnel have cordoned off the area and are investigating. Teams from the Special Cell, Crime Branch, and Forensic Science Lab are at the scene.
The police have taken the two former owners of the car that exploded in the Delhi attack into custody for investigation. Home Minister Amit Shah has said that an investigation is underway, keeping all possibilities in mind.
