Indian media reported that eight people were killed when a car exploded at Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station in the Indian capital, New Delhi. The cause of the explosion has not yet been determined. Twelve people were injured.
The explosion took place in a car near the Red Fort. Due to which other vehicles nearby were also damaged. The Delhi Fire Department said that the information about the explosion was received at 7 pm.
After the incident, security personnel have cordoned off the blast area and started an investigation. A special cell of Delhi Police has been deployed in the blast and damaged areas.
