Zohrab Mamdani, the famous young Indian-origin man elected as the mayor of the American city of New York, has chosen a Nepali restaurant to meet his constituency Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC).

 

On Thursday, Mamdani posted a photo of himself chatting while eating a meal of chicken tandoori, milk tea, potatoes, and more on Instagram. “The first day as mayor was a busy one: interviews, announcements, meetings, and more,” he wrote. “But the most important of all was the lunch meeting with our MP AOC at Laliguraan Bistro in Jackson Heights.”
