US President Donald Trump has reiterated his claim that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi stopped the attack on Pakistan after his threat. Trump, who is in South Korea during the APEC CEO Summit, reiterated this claim.

He claims that Modi stopped ‘Operation Sindoor’ only after threatening to impose an economic blockade on India. He also praised Modi. ‘I am doing a trade deal with India. I have deep respect and love for Modi. We have a very good relationship. Like, the Prime Minister of Pakistan is a good man,’ he said.

Trump also said that seven planes were shot down during the confrontation between the two countries. However, he did not reveal which country’s plane was shot down. ‘Both of these are nuclear countries and they were heading towards them. I called Modi and said, I cannot do a trade deal with you. Because you have started a war with Pakistan. Then I called Pakistan and said, you are fighting India. So I will not do business with you.’

Trump added, ‘No.. you have to let us fight. Both of them were saying that.’  He also said that he would not have done this if it was a Biden administration.  ‘But, two days after this, they stopped fighting. Isn’t it strange? Do you think Biden could do that? I don't think so...," Trump added.
