According to Nepali time, the government has intensified security preparations after the eruption of the Mount Levotobi Laki-Laki volcano in Indonesia at midnight on Tuesday.

The Geological Department asked the residents to be alert as the volcano erupted twice and 6 to 7 km away.

According to Aljazeera, ash particles flew up to the sky about 10 kilometers after the volcanic eruption. The government has requested residents of East Flores Island in Indonesia to be vigilant.

Volcanic and geological Government agencies working on risks have requested the public not to panic, to follow government instructions and not to believe unconfirmed rumours . According to Reuters, The residents of the village near the mountain where the volcano erupted have been moved to a safe place .

The same volcano erupted last July. At that time, flights were canceled   at the international airport of Bali island due to ash particles flying up to 18 km.

Indonesia currently has more than 120 active volcanoes.
