The Israel-Hamas conflict, which began on October 7, 2023 after the Palestinian rebel organization Hamas attacked Israel, has almost come to an end after two years. If the series of attacks does not resume, the Gazans, who have been in the grip of conflict for so long, will now breathe freedom under the open sky. Hamas released all 20 hostages alive on Monday afternoon as part of a peace deal that Trump planned. In the first phase, 7 and then 13 were released. Hamas handed over the hostages to the Israeli army through the International Red Cross Society. After two long years, the reunion with the families of the hostages turned out to be very poignant. Hamas no longer holds any living Israeli hostages. Bipin Joshi of Nepal is said to be alive, but Hamas has confirmed that he is dead and handed over his body to the Israeli government.

Since then, according to Egypt's official newspaper Al Ahram, the leaders of Qatar, Jordan, Palestinian Authority, France, Germany and Indonesia have arrived in Egypt's Sharm El Sheikh for the future peace conference in Gaza. It will be chaired by Egyptian President Abdul Fatt al-Sisi and US President Trump. Al Ahram said Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan also arrived. Similarly, according to Al Jazeera, 154 Palestinian prisoners released under the Gaza Agreement have been sent to Egypt. 

Appeal to pardon Netanyahu

During his address to the Israeli Parliament, Trump has also appealed to Israeli President Isaac Herzog to pardon Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on charges of corruption. Trump's appeal has been welcomed by the prime minister and his parliamentary allies. He shouted slogans and clapped in the parliament. Trump has reached the Egyptian resort city of Sharm El Sheikh. He will preside over the peace agreement ceremony there. where the leaders of 20 countries will participate. 

Trump said during his speech, "We will create a legacy that all citizens of this region will be proud of." We will create a better future. He talked about increasing friendship and trade between countries like Tel Aviv to Dubai, Haifa to Beirut, Jerusalem to Damascus and Israel to Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Iraq, Syria, Bahrain, Turkey, Jordan, UAE, Oman, Armenia and Azerbaijan. 

Similarly, Trump described Netanyahu as a patriotic and courageous leader. He said that the current situation would not have been possible without Netanyahu's support. During his speech, he also praised Arab countries and Muslim leaders for their support in increasing pressure on Hamas for a hostage deal in Gaza. He said, "Many people helped us. There were some such people, about whom we cannot even think. I express my gratitude to all of them. He said that this is a great victory for Israel and the world. Trump proclaimed a historic new dawn of peace for the Middle East. 

Endorsement for Nobel Peace Prize

Israel has endorsed Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize. Parliament Speaker Amir Ohana also said that there is no one more worthy than Trump for this award. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu praised Trump and said that this day will always be remembered in history. "We have been waiting for this day for a long time. I express my gratitude to you on behalf of the entire country.'

Israel has also honored Trump in the House. Trump also met with the families of the freed Israeli hostages. He has been awarded the honor of Israel's highest citizen. Israeli President Isaac Herzog announced it. Before Trump, such an honor was given to three US presidents, Bill Clinton (2013), Barack Obama (2013) and Joe Biden (2022). 

Soldier withdrawal in three stages

Under the peace agreement, Israeli soldiers have now withdrawn from Gaza to the border. But the White House published a map last week showing that the Israeli army still controls 53 percent of the territory. According to that, the withdrawal process of the Israeli army will be in three stages. Under Trump's peace deal, a multinational force of about 200 troops under the supervision of the US military will monitor the ceasefire. Soldiers from Egypt, Qatar, Turkey and UAE are also participating in this force.

plan, if both sides agree unconditionally on all points, there will be no problem for lasting peace in Gaza. But some conditions are still in doubt. After the reform, the governance of Gaza will be handed over to the Palestinian Authority. It has already been running the administration in the West Bank. According to the plan, Hamas, which has been ruling Gaza since 2007, will have no role in the future.
