It has been claimed that 33 percent of those deported from the United States in the seven months since the beginning of President Donald Trump's term were involved in criminal activities.

The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Department, United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), claimed that 33 percent of the 279,000 illegal immigrants who were deported from the United States during the seven-month period from January 3rd to August 3rd, 2025, were involved in criminal activities.  According to the data of

ice, 47 thousand 885 of those who were confirmed to be involved in criminal activities were convicted and sentenced, 16 thousand 552 were involved in sexual crimes, 2 thousand 699 were involved in murder and 237 were involved in terrorist activities. Of the 279,000 illegal immigrants arrested by ICE and deported from the United States in a seven-month period, 33 percent were found to be involved in criminal activities, according to the secretary of the Homeland Secretary, Kristi Noem, told the American media.

She said, "Some of those involved in criminal activities were confirmed after being arrested on the basis of illegal immigration, and most of them were arrested after being confirmed to be involved in criminal activities," Noem said. Ice has also put 34 fugitives involved in felony crimes on its most wanted list on its website. According to Ice's website, most of the 34 people who have been involved in criminal activities and are absconding are listed in the most wanted. According to Ice, arrangements have been made to give appropriate rewards to those who provide information about those who are on the most wanted list.

According to Pew Research Center data, there are 51.9 million (51.9 million) immigrants in the United States by June 2025. This number is 15.4 percent of the US population.
