More than 20 people have died in the earthquake that occurred in Afghanistan on Sunday midnight.

More than 115 injured people are being treated after the 6.0-magnitude earthquake that occurred at 11:47 p.m. local time in the eastern region of Afghanistan near the Pakistan border, the BBC reported, citing local officials.

The injured have been admitted to hospitals in Nangarhar and Kunar provinces. The shock of the earthquake was felt in Pakistan's Islamabad and Awatabad. 

After the first shock, other aftershocks came continuously. In which aftershocks of magnitude 4.7, 4.3 and 5 were felt. 

On October 7, 2023, 4,000 people were killed in a devastating earthquake in Afghanistan. The United Nations confirmed that 1500 were killed.
