50% tariff against India from today

US tariffs have been imposed on India since Wednesday for the alleged purchase of oil from Russia, not only the new goods but also the goods that have been taken and stored in the warehouse.

An additional 25 percent tariff imposed by the US government against India has come into force from today. America has also issued an official notification for this.

This tariff has come into force from 9.30 am Indian time on Wednesday i.e. from today. In the first 25 percent, a 50 percent tariff has been applied, adding 25 percent to the purchase of oil from Russia.  The

notice says, 'Any Indian goods that come for use or are taken out of the warehouse after 27 August 2025 will come under increased tariffs.'

American President Donald Trump has imposed a 50 percent tax against India for buying crude oil from Russia and supporting the purchase of weapons against Ukraine.
