The meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin ended without a concrete agreement.
On Friday, the meeting between the two presidents at the joint military base in Anchorage, Alaska, started at 11:30 local time and lasted until 2:30.
They were expected to agree on a ceasefire during their talks. But the international media reported that there was no agreement in their talks. However, at the press conference after the discussion, both Trump and Putin said that the talks were positive.
'Some progress has been made. Many points have been agreed upon, only a few remain,” said Trump. But he did not reveal what was agreed upon.
Similarly, Putin also said that there was an agreement on some points, but he did not talk about what that agreement was. Putin said - "We expect that Kiev and the Europeans will take it positively and will not create obstacles."
According to international media, Putin has made four positions for a ceasefire in Ukraine. The American newspaper New York Times wrote that Putin has taken the position of transferring large parts of Ukraine under Russian control, reducing the army, not participating in NATO and changing the government of Ukraine.
The media have written that due to his stance, no concrete decision has been made about the ceasefire.
