Five people were killed in the latest shelling and drone attack by Russia in Ukraine. Similarly, Ukraine has also claimed to have attacked a large oil refinery in Russia's Saratov region.

While the US and Russia agreed to hold summit talks for the coming Friday, there were attacks from both warring sides on Sunday.

According to the Ukrainian National Police, three people died and one person was injured in Zaporizhzhya region. Similarly, two more civilians were killed in eastern Donetsk region. Also, three people died when a land mine exploded while swimming in a restricted area in the city of Odessa. Mines were laid in the area to prevent a possible sea attack by Russia.

The Ukrainian army has also claimed to have damaged the oil refinery by attacking the Saratov region of Russia, which is about 1000 kilometers away, using drones. Saratov Governor Roman Busargin confirmed that "an industrial structure was damaged and one person died". A woman was killed due to the Ukrainian attack in Russia's Belgorod region, according to local authorities. This area is a border area that is vulnerable to Ukrainian attacks .

Ukraine is targeting Russia's oil and gas infrastructure and is pursuing a strategy to undermine its war finances. The Ukrainian army has claimed to have retaken control of the village of Bezhsalyvka in the Sumy region, while Russia has recently claimed to have occupied parts of eastern Ukraine.
