Malaysian consumers are increasingly attracted to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in shopping.
According to a recent survey, 58 percent of Malaysians use artificial intelligence when shopping, which is higher than the global average of 37 percent.
According to the Adyen Retail Report 2025, Malaysian consumers are using artificial intelligence to learn about new products, get recommendations and make better decisions while shopping. The
survey revealed In Malaysia, 71 percent of people use artificial intelligence to help them get ideas for food, clothes, and other items. Likewise, 69 percent said it helped them learn about new ingredients and brands they didn't know.
Likewise, 18 percent said they got the idea of the best thing they've ever imagined from artificial intelligence. Additionally, 60 percent said they would be willing to purchase goods directly through such devices in the future . The
report says, 'We are now moving from intuitive technology to intelligent technology . In the future, artificial intelligence will act as a personal shopping assistant – matching clothes, showing new items and making personalized recommendations.'
